Showing up can be hard; especially if you are a new mom, trying to balance marriage life, on top of being called to entrepreneurship. This week on the Blessed & Bossed Up Podcast, I sat down with Roselyn Rene and had an open discussion on what it looks like to show up in the midst of adversity. It can be hard to trust God’s timing in the process of building but Roselyn found that allowing herself the time to rest helped just as much as working. You don’t have to live in overwhelm, you have to make sound decisions and that will lead you in the right direction. Roselyn says “There are too many resources out there for us to sit on the things we want to do. And that’s what God had to ultimately show me. You gotta be able to make decisions. You have to be able to do what you want to do and God gives you the freedom to do so.” But sometimes the decision is to sit down and submit to “God’s timing and his process.” That can be difficult when you are used to getting things done. It can be frustrating at times but God can use a slow season to accelerate you. The best thing you can do is show up for yourself first and be present with God along the way. Before the chat ended I shared some of my processes with building my podcast Platform. Still to this day, I am blown away by the response that comes when people hear my voice; and how Blessed and Bossed Up helps them. But it was never for me, it was all for God’s glory. Yet, hearing how my obedience helped someone else be obedient gives my heart joy. We have to show up in the way God tells us to and he will then water the seeds that we plant through our obedience.
